Thoughtful Design Starts With a Conversation
Strong brands and websites aren’t rushed. They’re built through trust, intention, and a clear process. If you’re ready to explore what’s possible for your business, we’d be happy to connect.
The Western Ontario Highland Dancers Association (WOHDA) logo was designed to honour tradition while remaining practical and timeless. The client’s tartan pattern and request of a thistle were carefully integrated into the mark, grounding the identity in heritage and Highland dance culture. A circular primary logo was chosen so it could be easily reproduced on medals, awards, and engraved materials without losing clarity or detail.
Canadian identity is woven throughout the design, with the maple leaf representing national pride and Ontario roots. The central form subtly references both a trillium and a Celtic knot, symbolizing connection, continuity, and cultural history. A simplified secondary logo uses the WOHDA wordmark, with the Celtic knot / trillium shape incorporated into the “A,” creating a modern, flexible mark that works as a more modern take of the traditional primary logo.
